The content on Saturate.co is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice.
Saturate is an independent research library about hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the guidance of a qualified physician or other licensed healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or before starting any therapy, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website.
HBOT carries genuine clinical risks and is appropriate for different people at different pressures. Clinical, FDA/UHMS-recognized indications are typically delivered at approximately 2.0–2.5 ATA in supervised medical settings; these are distinct from mild, lower-pressure (~1.3–1.5 ATA) protocols, which do not carry the same regulatory backing.
Where we describe research findings, we link to the underlying peer-reviewed sources so you can evaluate the evidence yourself. The strength of evidence varies considerably across conditions, and we aim to represent it accurately.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number immediately.
